However, there was a window of about three hours in the middle of the day for the vehicles to parade in the ring before the rain returned to curtail the day earlier than expected. I was pleased to hear that the rally still managed to raise lots of money for the Cornwall Air Ambulance and two other charities. The next event we are attending is the Kingsbridge Running DayFree vintage bus services on coast and country routes in South Devon usually held in September on Saturday 15th September 2018. This is a big event in south Devon and well worth enthusiasts making the trip. Stagecoach do run a bus service to Kingsbridge from Plymouth and also vintage buses will pick up at Totnes railway station to bring you to Kingsbridge. We are taking the LHS, LH and the Dart with possibly 1141 VR if an MOTMinistry of Transport test is done in time. If you would like to become a 'friend' of the CBPSCornwall Bus Preservation Society - formed by a group of bus and coach enthusiasts who are involved in maintaining, restoring and preserving a number of buses which saw operational service in Cornwall that have been bought, donated or even loaned to members of the group, please contact us (details on the site) as your subscription will help to get and keep these vehicles in preservation. Thank you.
