Welcome to my February update. The evenings are getting lighter so that means we must be getting closer to our Running DayEach year in April CBPG holds an Annual Running Day with free bus trips around West Cornwall - check our Events for more information at Penzance.

Sunday 19 April 2015 is the date that should be locked into your diary and we will be hoping to see lots of you there and that the sunny clear skies return.

We are getting the VarioMercedes-Benz Vario (model designation W670) is a heavy van manufactured by Mercedes-Benz ready for an MOTMinistry of Transport test which will be followed by MOT's for the Dart and VRT 1147Bristol VR AFJ 749T 1147/38749 that will join our Bristol LHBristol Commercial Vehicles Light Horizontal engined single-decker bus chassis LH at 30' (9.1m); nearly 2,000 were built between 1967 and 1982 which received an MOT last month.

With our Bristol VRT 1141(AFJ 706T) which is still with First Kernow, we are expecting an even larger vehicle entry than last year so watch this space for expected entries.

If you have been a 'friend' of the CBPSCornwall Bus Preservation Society - formed by a group of bus and coach enthusiasts who are involved in maintaining, restoring and preserving a number of buses which saw operational service in Cornwall that have been bought, donated or even loaned to members of the group or indeed would like to join us, it is that time of the year when I really would appreciate your support so why not do it!

We still require good covered storage for our fleet which we may well wish to increase this year so please help us to secure premises asap. Thank you.
