The Cornwall Bus Preservation  Society in association with the Thames Valley & Great Western Omnibus Trustregistered charity which established in 2008 “to advance education of public in history of public road passenger transport and in particular history of those companies and types of vehicles operated through Thames Valley and Great Western road transport corridors”; TV&GWOT's defined operating area consists of ten local authority areas between West London and Cornwall, hence strap-line “Fro’ Paddington to Penzance” reflecting the extent of the Great Western Railway Road Motors operations over the period 1903 to 1929 and successor companies from then until the present day. invites you to come to sunny, warm West Cornwall for our event on Sunday 17 April 2016. Bring all the family and friends and spend the weekend in Cornwall. This will be the 9th vintage bus running day in Penzance following the original Final VR Running  Day on 9 December 2006 – yes it’s more than 9 years since VRs were withdrawn from service!

The Running  Day will be based at Penzance Bus Station with vintage bus services running from 10.00 until 17.00. Routes will include Penzance to Camborne, St Ives, St Just, Hayle, Marazion/Perranuthnoe, Praa Sands, Paul/Sheffield and out to Sennen Cove and Land’s End. Again we are planning to run small vehicles into Mousehole, a highlight of the last 3 years’ events.

Programmes are available in advance before the event for dispatch from 7 April onwards from TV&GWOT, Ledger Farm, Forest Green Road, Fifield, Maidenhead, SL6 2NR for £5.50 inc P&P.
